Summer 2011~first trip

Well we had a very eventful summer! We did so many things, here are some highlight's! Jenna was on the swim team again and had a fabulous year! We enjoyed going to her meets and watching her have so much fun racing! We went to the museum, the zoo, the parks and the pool almost every day! We spent time with friends and family and we took several trips. Our first trip was driving Ken out to Las Vegas! Ken and I were packed to the gills with stuff and Jenna and Samuel in the back. Jay had to skip this trip. It was so much fun to have this special time with Ken. He has been such a huge part of our life, we have definitely missed him. I was wondering if we were going to be okay driving so far every day, but the kids were amazing! We had such a good time! Uncle Ken made it even more fun by having ice cream stops with the kids and a whole lot of Beiber! Our first stop was my grandpa's in Valparaiso, Indiana. Next, Tulsa Oklahoma. That was a long day! Next, Albuquerque, New Mexico to stay with my friend Misty. We haven't seen each other in 8 years! But Of course, like with all my forever best friends, we picked off were we left off! It was great! Then, our destination- Vegas baby! We had such a great time staying with my Aunt Nancy and uncle Paul and my cousin Jessica. We haven't seen them in a while either so it was pure FUN! We even got to spend my aunt's birthday with her! It's Always so much fun to be with those you love!
There were so many fun memories on this trip but one of the most special one's was being able to be in the delivery room with Melanie for her 5th baby! It was AMAZING! She was AMAZING! She decided to go natural, and it was so great to be able to help her and Larry through it. She definitely had a very different experience than the other 4 births where she had an epidural. I love helping women find their inner strength and focus on having that baby. We are stronger than we sometimes give ourselves credit. She had a beautiful baby girl~she was so sweet and smelled so good! I love the sweet smell babies have when they are first born, it's like heaven!
We got to hang out at the pool and see more friends and family. We had a big family BBQ so we could see our other cousins and my Sister. We got Ken all set up in his new place and then after 2 weeks, we were on the road again. Only this time I was by myself with the kids. We took the same way home just backwards. We got to stay a couple days with Misty. We ate the most delicious food at Sadie's and at Sonic and we got to go to the Albuquerque zoo. We were able to see grandpa again as well, and then home to my Jay. We sure did miss him!

Recital and graduation weekend!

Silly boys!

We had such a fun and busy weekend! The night before this was the TGSO party. Then tonight we had Jenna and Samuel's piano recital. I'm so proud of their dedication and hard work! We had all the cousin support for these events as well! Gotta love cousins! Samuel played "May the force be with you" and Jenna played A Romantic prelude. It was beautiful! Then we rushed down to Jenna's dress rehearsal for her jazz dance class. The next morning we woke early and drove down to Athens Ohio for Ken's medical School graduation.

Mrs. Gee

Party Weekend!

The weekend before this crazy one we had a mother daughter party for activity days. We had to dress up and put on a play with different themes. Our's was the 60's. It was great! We raided jay's trunk for some of his old things- I think it turned out well. Their teacher works so hard to make everything great for them! Also this week was Samuel's kindergarten graduation! That was an emotional roller coaster! We figured out something very cool while watching the video they had made, Samuel will gradate high school in 2023! We thought it appropriate since sine 23 is our family's magic number! The Last week of school was just crazy for us! Since I'm the social director for the neighborhood ,we had a Thanks Goodness School's Out Party on the Last day of school, June 2nd. We had a great turn out. It was so much fun for all who were there! Then the next day was Jenna and Samuel's piano recital. They both played beautiful pieces. Jenna's was a nice classical piece and Samuel's was Star Wars! Samuel was thrilled with this! Their teacher Catherine Scroth is so amazing! We will miss her as their teacher as she is moving on with her career. Then right after they played we had to rush to Jenna's dress rehearsal for dance. It was nice to have the support of family at both these events. Then after getting home at 11:00, I got up at 5:30 the next morning put my sleeping family in the car and drove 3 1/2 hours to Athen's , Ohio to watch my brother ken graduated from Medical School! It was Amazing! He is Amazing! He has worked so hard and has so much determination! We are all so proud of him! He will do great things! Then we drove back home to have a party with the rest of the family! My Aunt and Uncle came from out of town as well as my grandfather. Then the next day, Bar-B-Que at my house with the fam and then off to the recital! I LOVE recital night! Everyone looks so beautiful and their hard work shows through their effort. Emjaez studio is so wonderful and professional, you're at a real show. It's a great night for all! Well, that was a fun weekend!

Summer FUN!

The athletic supporters!
The racers!

Getting ready!
The proud mom!
I have so much to post, why am I always Behind! Well we started the summer off with a bang, on Memorial Weekend Samuel ran his first race! He was so determined, he begged me to run this race! He thought he would for sure do really well, maybe even win. I wasn't sure. I mean he is 6 and I know he runs everywhere but I just wasn't sure how he would do in a race setting. He was pumped and ready to go. I told him to pace himself and he kept saying "I just want to run my fastest mom". He lined up with about 150 kids( I'm unsure on the actual number this is just what I heard), he was near the front and I was praying he was not going to get hurt or trampled. I asked my brother Ken to run on the side and keep him on track, not knowing if he would know where to run to. The race was on and he was in the front, as they start to come around he is still in the front! I couldn't believe it! He crossed the finish line in 6 minutes and 44 sec's! He is so fast! I was amazed! He was so proud! He was loving his new air Pegasus that my dad had bought him the night before! We said they gave him wings! He came in 5th and their were 13 year olds running this race! I can't wait to see what the future holds for my little runner!
